Our resident animal welfare expert, Carla Shaik has always had a passion for writing and educating the public on topics that really matter, especially cat welfare. Since graduating with a BSC in Animal Behavior and Welfare, Carla has written for a national cat magazine for eight years and more recently branched out into becoming a freelance writer full-time. Evelyn is an animal advocate, cat expert, and the proud mom of 4 rescue cats and dogs, Sugar, a beautiful tabby; Beebee, a tiny black, fluffy beauty; Chewy, a Lab crossed with something unknown, and Buster, a big, bouncy Boxer cross. Evelyn has studied animal care with a specialty in felines at her local shelter and now works with her husband on their Portland farm. Desiree Delong is a devoted cat Mom and freelance writer with a passion for all animals, but especially cats.
