Our Story

Scaredy-cats can become Cool Cats!

It all started with two little fluffballs with big eyes and a deep fear of humans. They were feral kittens, rescued by our local shelter and they needed a foster home.

They stole my heart and I simply couldn’t give them back. They changed my life forever. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to help them feel more comfortable around other humans (they are fine around me).

When I couldn’t find a website dedicated to helping anxious cats and scared cats, I decided to create Cool Cat Advice and bring together a team of incredible writers whose love and knowledge of cat behavior can help cats and cat parents around the world. Join us on our journey and discover everything you need to know about raising a happy, healthy, cool cat.

Expertly Researched and Reviewed Articles

As cat owners ourselves we know it can be difficult to find reliable information on cat care, which is why we make it easy.

  • At Cool Cat Advice all of the information provided in our articles is written and reviewed by our animal welfare experts to ensure it is accurate and trustworthy. As a cat owner, you need to be able to trust the advice you’re getting. Our team includes caring cat owners who have years of experience in raising pets and who understand the questions and concerns that we all have as pet parents.
  • We don’t just talk about the benefits of any products we recommend, we also let you know what the downsides might be, because not all products will suit all cats.
  • We are independent and honest. You can rely on us to give you a good honest review.
  • We love creating free reliable content full of tips for our readers. Our opinions are our own, but if you find our recommendations helpful and you end up buying something you like through one of our links, we could earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How We Choose Products and Services

If we recommend a product it’s because we have done the research on it and we believe it has the ability to help you and your cat. In our research, some products have been tested directly by us, while others have been researched using other methods, including reviewing comments from users online to ensure we have provided good coverage of what is working well for cats. As a team of qualified veterinarians, animal welfare experts, and cat parents, you can be assured we only choose the best products.

Every Cat and Situation is Unique

The best approach is regular veterinary checkups and following the advice of licensed professionals. The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and should not replace or be used instead of consulting your local licensed veterinarian.

We love cats and we’re here to help you help them live their best lives! Please contact us if you have any feedback or questions.

Yours in paws,
